Rap music has always been a form of expression, rap artists have took aim at
politics, social issues even themselves, but what if rap artists started going as
far as using racial slurs. Atlanta rap group OTG on there latest album has used the
racially charged slur "cracker" repeatedly (a termed used against White Americans to
insult) in there lyrics also making death threats. Is this considered entertainment,
I as a white American am disgusted that the entertainment industry would allow these
slurs to be released on entertainment format, if it was a white American using the
N-word on a cd record that artist would be crucified by the American public and
Black America would start holding all type of boycotts, this type of entertainment
should not be allowed in our society by white or black entertainment artists, I
tried to contact OTG at there Myspace.com/otgbitch page but still have not received
a reply, whether they reply or not I would like to say racism in any form of
entertainment is not is wrong and I send a strong warning to OTG, there label, and
there manager that if you use words like this you will get what you deserve.
